Clinical supervision is a formal, collaborative, and disciplined working relationship that is generally, but not necessarily, between a more experienced and a less experienced practitioner, in which the supervisee’s clinical work is reviewed and reflected upon, with the aims of:
- to enhance supervisees’ skills, competence and confidence
- to provide a reflective space and emotional support
- to provide assistance with professional development
- to ensure that services to clients is safe, ethical and competent
- to ensure compliance with professional and organizational treatment standards & practice
I am a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in Georgia and provide clinical supervision to therapists who are seeking licensure as an LPC, LMSW, or LMFT, as well as individuals who are interns, and currently licensed and interested in on-going supervision to enhance clinical knowledge and professional development.
Current Integrative Framework for Supervision Models includes: Psychotherapy-Based Models, Multi-Cultural Models, and Developmental Models of Supervision.
